What's my semester grade?

Most schools average your two quarter grades with the final exam. Enter your grades and your school's weights — the result updates as you type.

The classic formula is 40/40/20 — each quarter twice the final's weight. Check your syllabus; some schools use 45/45/10 or no final at all (set it to 0).

How this is calculated

Your two quarters split the non-final share of the grade evenly, and the final takes the weight you set: semester = (Q1 + Q2) / 2 × (1 − weight) + final × weight. With no final score entered, it shows the quarter average and what your final needs to be to hold each letter-grade line.

A note on accuracy

Schools differ: some weight quarters unequally, count a midterm separately, or round semester grades. Treat this as a solid estimate and check your student portal for your school's exact formula.
